SCMP Becoming Lean - Starting with 5S

SCMP has adopted the 5S philosophy in its facility as one of its first steps towards becoming a 'lean manufacturing' facility. Implementing the 5S program has been a great team activity for all employees that has yielded many great ideas. It has provided an oppurtunity for associates to give feedback on the organization of the plant. SCMP will continue into the summer with the next steps of Kaizen process improvement along with training into lean manufacturing concepts.
